Your phone usually sets the APN for you when you install your eSIM, so you’ll typically only need to change it if your eSIM isn’t working once it’s switched on with data roaming. The details below are commonly used APNs, shared as a general guide. The wrong APN can leave you with slow or no internet, so always follow your eSIM’s install instructions and confirmation email for the exact details.

How Do I Add Travel eSIM APN Settings on My Phone?
iPhone
- Open Settings
Tap the Settings app on your Home Screen.
- Mobile Service
Tap Mobile Service. Your iPhone may call this Mobile Data or Cellular.
- Mobile Data Network
Select your travel eSIM first if you have multiple lines, then tap Mobile Data Network. Your carrier must allow APN editing.
- Enter your APN
In the Mobile Data section, enter the APN from your eSIM confirmation email. Add a username and password only if your email provides them. The settings save automatically.

Open Settings and tap Connections.

Tap Access Point Names. Select your travel eSIM if asked.

Tap the plus or Add button to create a new access point.

Give the connection a name, then enter the APN and any login details from your eSIM email. Open the three-dot menu and tap Save. Then go back to the list and tap the circle next to your new access point to select it. Android won't use it until it's selected.
